Thanks for stopping by today. Comments are always appreciated! I’ve been gone a few weeks, but I’m glad to be back.
And to all you moms, have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Today I’m going with a WIP, currently titled Chica Bello.
My hero, a Navy SE.A.L. named Landon Walker, has just come off of a long deployment. He’s been up for three days making his way from Afghanistan to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where he’s checked into his favorite hotel, his room overlooks the ocean. He’s slightly hungover and completely exhausted.
He inhaled deeply, feeling the cleansing begin.
Stepping out onto the balcony, he went to the railing and leaned his elbows on it, closing his eyes. Yes, it was a cleansing coming here. It was a place of incredible beauty, a place where he was able to forget his duties as a Navy S.E.A.L., forget about the missions he had been on, the people who wanted to kill him, and those he had killed. It was a place where he could let go of being a highly trained specialist, and focus on just being a man. He inhaled again and let the mellow relaxation that Cabo San Lucas brought him seep into his bones.
Thanks again for stopping by, and you can check out the other authors HERE
Beautiful imagery. Great six
Wow, sounds like he needed this vacay!
I feel relaxed after reading this! 🙂
I’ve heard so many good things about Cabo, and after reading today’s post, I think I need to go there! I enjoyed your description–both of the setting and his reaction to it.
Sounds like a very relaxing moment. 🙂
Sounds like a great place to chill.
